Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a dedicated educator specialized in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a K-12 setting. The role is based in Panama City Beach, Florida, and runs through the non-school year (NSY) period under a contract arrangement.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or a related field
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, tailoring instructional strategies to their unique needs
- Strong munication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as speech therapists, audiologists, and general education staff

Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction designed to enhance language, literacy, and social skills for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and educational professionals
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet individual needs
- Support students integration into general education settings, providing necessary acmodations and resources
- Maintain ongoing munication with families to support student development and address concerns
