Salary Range: $54,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and training.
• Perform complex machine setups, operations, and adjustments for various CNC and manual machines.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to ensure precision part fabrication.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections, utilizing metrology tools to verify part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new parts and improve existing manufacturing methods.

Recommended Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in precision machining, including advanced setup and operation of manual and CNC equipment.
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring junior machinists and overseeing daily shop operations.
• Expert ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and utilize a wide range of precision measurement tools.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAM software) and troubleshooting machining processes.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality control, safety protocols, and continuous process improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, laser tracker).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
