Are you a visionary nurse leader with a passion for clinical excellence and team empowerment? Our client is seeking a Director of Nursing to spearhead the clinical operations of their prestigious Calabasas facility.

In this executive-level role, you will be responsible for the overall quality, adequacy, and safety of the nursing program. You will lead a dedicated team of nursing professionals, ensuring that the facility not only meets but exceeds Californias rigorous healthcare standards while maintaining the boutique, high-touch experience their clientele expects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership: Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing services, ensuring the highest level of resident care and clinical outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility remains in constant "survey-ready" status, adhering to all Title 22 and CMS regulations.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing nursing team; foster a culture of professional growth and accountability.
  • Budgetary Management: Oversee the nursing department budget, including staffing ratios, medical supplies, and pharmacy costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead the QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) program to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Administrator and Executive team to develop and implement clinical programs that enhance the facilitys reputation.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Education: BSN required; Masters in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (MSN/MHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Sub-Acute setting.
  • Survey History: Proven track record of successful state and federal surveys (CDPH).
  • Leadership Style: A "servant leader" approach with the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
