Special Education Teaching Opportunities Denver Area, CO

We are currently seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to support students within multiple schools across the Denver area. This full-time contract opportunity spans from ASAP through May 22, 2026, offering the chance to deliver specialized education in a range of settings focused on affective needs, learning support, and autism spectrum disorders.

Positions Available:

  • Affective Needs Teacher for a center-based program at an elementary school
  • Full-Time Learning Specialist at a K-8 school
  • Full-Time Specially Designed Instruction (SLS) Teacher specializing in autism at an elementary level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive educational support
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate varied learning styles and disabilities
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families and staff
  • Provide instruction in a supportive classroom environment focused on students with diverse special education needs

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) Special Education certification
  • Experience working with special education students, ranging from 0 to 10+ years
  • Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to manage caseloads across diverse age groups and disabilities, including autism and affective needs

Location: On-site positions available in schools within the Denver metropolitan area.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 35+ hours weekly
