Job DescriptionJob Title: Patient TransporterLocation: Jamaica, NY 11432Duration: 9 WeeksWork Type: 100% OnsiteSchedule: 35 Hours/Week (5 Days/Week)Shift: 7 Hours/Day (Flexible, includes alternate weekends)Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Patient Transporter to support patient transportation within a healthcare facility. This role is essential in ensuring patients are moved safely and efficiently for procedures, tests, admissions, and discharges while maintaining comfort and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or hospital bed to designated areas
  • Assist with safe patient transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety during all transport activities
  • Follow infection control and patient handling protocols
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other departments
  • Maintain timely and efficient patient movement in a fast-paced environment
  • Adhere to facility policies and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS (CPR) Certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting (hospital or clinic preferred)
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and transport patients
  • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Patient Transporter, CNA, Hospital Aide, or similar role
  • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment
