Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial data integrity.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and other financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to execute month-end close processes.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and V-lookups, for data analysis and reporting.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable operations as needed.
• Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records.• Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Proficiency in preparing accurate journal entries and managing month-end close activities.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Oracle is a plus but not required.
