The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Clinical Health Services Director to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Gering, Nebraska, where you will provide overall leadership and oversight for the Health Center. Reporting to the CEO, this position will promote, oversee, and play an active role in delivering value-based patient care using the provider-led, team-based Patient Centered Medical Home Care Model. In this model, medical, dental, behavioral health, and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded, comprehensive care.

Your Role:

  • Facilitate and guide day-to-day operations of the Health Center
  • Play an active role in the development of short and long-term goals and objectives that align with the agencys strategic plan and regulatory guidelines
  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate staff per organizational structure
  • Encourage team management, collaboration, problem-solving, and positive feedback from staff, leaders, and departments
  • Communicate the agencys mission, management decisions, and initiatives to Health Center staff
  • Work in collaboration with Human Resources in recruiting and hiring adequate staff for the Health Center departments
  • Address patient / client concerns or grievances following policy with appropriate leaders
  • Assist in developing Health Center department budget recommendations to include providing input in the writing of grant applications


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Public Administration, or related area required; Masters preferred
  • Four years of supervisory experience required
  • Ability to embrace the agencys Standards of Behavior, practicing integrity and showing respect for leaders and peers
  • Attendance and participation in required meetings to include Senior Staff and monthly Board Meeting
  • Promotion of positive public relations with patients, visitors, and the community
  • Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
