Quality Inspector

  • Play an active role in the implementation of the Quality Policy as defined by the company.
  • Ensure that the requirements of AS9100 and other applicable industry standards are maintained.
  • Develop and enter inspection plans for company products.
  • Mechanical inspection of parts and materials.
  • Performs first article, first piece, in process & final inspection and generates required records.
  • Ensure that the documentation control process is maintained.
  • Participate in the final release for shipments of all products.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience within quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing engineering or mechanical inspection.
  • Use of hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, gauge blocks, tool scopes, optical comparator.
  • Able to use Adobe, Excel, Word, GageTrak, GMS and software to access data, retrieve data.
  • Read and interpret complex machining and fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Able to do own setups, perform own inspections, process control validations.
  • Prior experience in aerospace or other high integrity industries.
  • Able to keep organized reports and records.
  • Certified Mechanical Inspector a plus.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance, CMM a plus.
