Quality Inspector
- Play an active role in the implementation of the Quality Policy as defined by the company.
- Ensure that the requirements of AS9100 and other applicable industry standards are maintained.
- Develop and enter inspection plans for company products.
- Mechanical inspection of parts and materials.
- Performs first article, first piece, in process & final inspection and generates required records.
- Ensure that the documentation control process is maintained.
- Participate in the final release for shipments of all products.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years of experience within quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing engineering or mechanical inspection.
- Use of hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, gauge blocks, tool scopes, optical comparator.
- Able to use Adobe, Excel, Word, GageTrak, GMS and software to access data, retrieve data.
- Read and interpret complex machining and fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Able to do own setups, perform own inspections, process control validations.
- Prior experience in aerospace or other high integrity industries.
- Able to keep organized reports and records.
- Certified Mechanical Inspector a plus.
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance, CMM a plus.
