The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Instructional Aide / Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and creating a safe, engaging learning environment. In this role, you will assist with academic tasks, supervise students, and help maintain an organized classroom that fosters success for all learners.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working closely with students, supporting teachers, and helping classrooms run smoothly through patience, communication, and teamwork.
What You’ll DoInstructional Support

Assist classroom teachers with instructional programs and daily classroom activities.

Provide individual assistance to students experiencing learning difficulties—clarifying directions, answering questions, reinforcing lessons, and assisting with research.

Observe and assess student performance and progress, reporting concerns to teachers.

Keep the classroom neat, organized, and conducive to learning.
Student Supervision & Guidance

Supervise students in the classroom and in non-instructional settings such as hallways, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

Enforce school policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.

Provide general guidance and encouragement to support positive student development.
Clerical & Operational Support

Help maintain attendance rolls, assessments, and other school records.

Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, organizing materials, and preparing instructional resources.

Participate in staff meetings and in-service training sessions as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned by teachers or school leaders.
QualificationsRequired
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Associate’s Degree, at least 48 college credits, or coursework in an education-related field.

Experience working in a school setting or with children.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-centered environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to support classroom needs.
