Location: North Indianapolis
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (Fridays off!) - 37.5 hours/week
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $24/hr

About the Role

LHH is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our non-profit client's HR team located on the north side of Indianapolis. This fully onsite role is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced customer support and enjoys helping people navigate important life decisions.

In this position, you'll work directly with retirees from the organization, assisting them with questions related to their retirement plans and general benefits inquiries. If you are a strong communicator with excellent customer service experience, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic, knowledgeable phone support to retirees regarding retirement plan questions.
  • Utilize VLOOKUP within Excel to research and verify information.
  • Document conversations, follow up on outstanding issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to ensure accurate and timely information is provided.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and demonstrate a consistently positive and professional attitude.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong customer service experience (call center or HR support preferred).
  • VLOOKUP proficiency in Excel (required).
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information professionally.
  • Reliability and a positive, team-focused mindset.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Prior experience with retirement plans, benefits administration, or HR support.
