Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Specialist (High Volume)
Location: Pico Rivera, CA Pay Rate: $22-$24 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard business hours
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced, high-volume accounting environment. This role is responsible for processing large quantities of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, timely payments, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency
- Verify invoice details, including pricing, approvals, and proper coding
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable
- Prepare and assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams
- Maintain accurate vendor records and support vendor setup as needed
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain organized AP files and documentation in accordance with company standards
- Support audits by providing requested AP documentation
- Perform additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience preferred
- Strong data entry and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems or ERP platforms
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team

- Requires the ability to meet daily processing deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
