Hands-on supervision at a fast-paced, modern equipped, stone stop offering hands on supervision assisting the shop manager. Responsibilities include enforcing a safe environment, effectively managing personnel to achieve maximum production, meeting schedules, and offering a high-level quality of the products produced. Keep the shop’s workflow efficient, effectively reduce losses, and that all required resources are in place to successfully execute production, from material intake to QC at each stage, and through package for dispatch. Work closely with the production team, management and warehouse to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility/shop.
• Maintaining quality standards and offer continued improvements.
• Personnel hire, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.
• Responsible for shop production
• Maintain a superior safety and housekeeping program.
• Maintain job schedules and coordinate with creator of shop order to ensure understating of the materials, details, and timeline of each shop order.
• Meet with clients and construction teams on job sites as needed.
• Understand and apply the workforce changes as required and in accordance with the workload.
• Know how to eliminate production constraints; re-position personnel and re-organize the use of equipment for the benefit of improving production and meeting schedules.
• Obtain know-how of all equipment, train to operate and maintain machinery to allow for training and to provide back-up when needed.
• Review shop drawings and cut tickets prior to fabricating to ensure constructability.
• Assure tools and machinery maintenance and logs are current.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience related to stone manufacturing (millwork experience will be considered).

· Ability to create, read and review shop orders, details for fabrication.

· Experience operating power tools in the assembly process

· Familiarity with tools.

· Good English and Spanish language, English writing.

· Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
