Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with ER, Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonatal experience and required ARRT and BLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital radiology department specializing in general X-ray procedures
  • Perform all ED general X-ray exams including trauma, pediatric, and portable X-rays in various units and on floors
  • Experience required with ER, Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonates
  • Use of Shimadzu Rad-Speed, Shimadzu Mobile Art MX8, AGFA DXD 100, and Orthoscan mini-C-arm equipment
  • Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM without set days
  • Required to work every other Saturday and Sunday
  • Holiday coverage is required
  • On-call help may be required if residing in the area
  • Responsibilities include performing ED, trauma, and portable pediatric X-ray exams
  • Candidates must wear navy scrubs
  • ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment are required during orientation and must be passed
  • Perm candidates may not return to the same hospital system until one year has passed since their last assignment
  • Assignments at locations capped at 18 consecutive months with a mandatory 6-month break before returning
  • Travelers must be able to pass a negative 10-panel drug and nicotine (cotinine) test completed within 12 months of the start date
  • Holiday and on-call coverage expectations will be discussed during interview

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Current ARRT certification is required
  • Ohio Radiology license required; compact licenses accepted if applicable
  • AHA BLS certification is required
  • Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty is required before taking a travel assignment
  • Must have experience with trauma, emergency, and neonatal/pediatric X-rays
  • References from a manager, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months are required
  • Permanent candidates must wait one year before returning after prior assignment
  • Negative nicotine screen required; must be nicotine free
  • Background screening required with no open cases
  • Active certifications must be current; pending certifications not accepted
  • License required if applicable
