Job Description
Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently looking for a Geotechnical Laboratory Technician Intern to join our team this summer. 
 
This is an excellent opportunity for students in engineering, geology, or the physical sciences to gain hands-on experience in a professional lab setting. This internship is a paid, part-time position with flexible hours.

Location: Alpha, NJ 
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Performing laboratory tests on soils and concrete under the guidance of our Lab Manager; </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assisting with data entry and interpretation of test results; </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis; and </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Supporting the Lab Manager with ad-hoc duties and special projects as needed. </li>
</ul>

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Previous coursework in a Soils Laboratory is a plus, but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided. </li>
</ul>

The estimated pay range for this position is $20 to $22/hr.
