Our client, a rapidly expanding company in the food & beverage, fuel, and retail sector, is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join their Las Vegas team. What You'll Do
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision
• Manage month-end and year-end closes for multiple business entities, including revenue, inventory, and expense reporting
• File sales tax, fuel tax, and other regulatory reports across multiple states
• Reconcile bank accounts and merchant deposits; research and resolve discrepancies quickly
• Track and reconcile fuel inventory, vendor payables, and franchise royalty activity
• Assist with fixed asset management for store and restaurant locations
• Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and support process improvements
• Partner with operations and finance teams to maintain accurate financial data as the organization scales

• At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in retail, fuel, or franchise operations.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of monthly and year-end close processes, including revenue and inventory reporting.
• Experience managing sales tax, fuel tax, and multi-state compliance filings.
• Strong skills in bank statement reconciliation and investigating variances.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting and fixed asset tracking.
• Ability to support audit requests and contribute to process improvements.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
