Overview:-

We're seeking an Electrical Design Technician to develop and manage detailed electrical drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate, on-time design deliverables. Use drafting software to create and revise documentation, and support power system studies through data collection and modeling. Candidates should be detail-oriented and ready to contribute to high-quality, compliant electrical designs.

What we're looking for

  • Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line drawings, and panel layouts.

  • Use AutoCAD or EPLAN to draft and update design documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineers to translate concepts into accurate, buildable designs.

  • Maintain revision control and ensure up-to-date as-built documentation.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel for design input and validation.

  • Support arc flash studies and power system analysis using SKM software.

  • Collect field data to ensure accuracy in modeling and compliance reporting.

  • Assist in generating arc flash reports, labels, and documentation per NFPA 70E standards.

Requirements:-

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 1-3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred); EPLAN experience is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and industrial control panels.

  • Ability to create and interpret electrical documentation, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and cable schedules.

  • Familiarity with power system analysis software such as SKM or EasyPower is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams.

What We Offer:

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000
