Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our urgent care team on a part-time basis, providing exceptional patient care during weekends and holidays. This role is ideal for professionals who desire a flexible schedule while contributing to high-quality care during our peak service hours. You will be an essential part of our dynamic team, ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective treatment during busy periods.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations during weekend and holiday shifts by gathering patient histories, identifying symptoms, and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and manage a range of acute, chronic, and preventive care scenarios, ensuring timely and appropriate intervention in a fast-paced environment.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, relevant to the urgent care setting.
  • Procedural Care: Perform minor procedures and interventions that align with the unique care needs encountered during high patient volume periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, especially during handoffs between shifts.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise and comprehensive records in electronic health systems, ensuring continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adjust to the dynamic demands of weekend and holiday shifts, ensuring seamless patient flow during peak times.

Qualifications

  • Licensure & Certification: Must hold a valid state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner along with current certification.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Demonstrated clinical experience in urgent care, family practice, or a similar fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities that ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Availability: Willingness and ability to work exclusively on weekends and holidays in a high-demand environment.
  • ACLS certification required
