About the Role
We're seeking a reliable, compassionate Part-Time Traveling Dental Assistant to support our mobile care teams across Baltimore, DC, Alexandria, and occasionally Hyattsville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, independence, and meaningful patient interactions outside the traditional dental office.
You'll primarily assist with dental services, and you'll also be cross-trained in Optometry, Podiatry, and Audiology, expanding your skill set and versatility within our mobile care model.
Schedule & Compensation
- 3 days per week
- Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- $28 per hour
- Travel between sites required, mileage reimbursement per company policy
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist with chairside procedures in a mobile/facility-based setting
- Set up, break down, and transport equipment and supplies
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
- Support providers across multiple specialties after cross-training
- Provide patient education and ensure a comfortable, positive experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with basic administrative tasks
Requirements
- Certified/Registered Dental Assistant (as required by state)
- Radiation Certificate
- Strong understanding of infection control and OSHA compliance
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (25–50 lbs.)
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to adapt to different facility environments
- Must pass a federal background check and drug screening
