Contemporaries, Inc. is a trusted government contracting firm with over 35 years of experience supporting federal health and science agencies. We are currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) on a long-term federal contract.

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong federal operations, program management, and change management experience who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Duties

  • Provide programmatic, operational, and back-office support to OASH leadership and staff.
  • Support HR-related functions, including onboarding/offboarding coordination, personnel documentation, and compliance support.
  • Manage and track program budgets, expenditures, and financial documentation in accordance with HHS guidelines.
  • Assist with grants management activities, including tracking deliverables, reporting timelines, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-office initiatives, including organizational restructuring and office consolidation efforts.
  • Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication across stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between OASH program offices, shared services, and external partners as needed.
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure program success.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Operations, or Administrative Management.
  • Experience working in a federal environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with HR operations, grant support, budget tracking, change management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance, reporting, and documentation standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, and federal tracking or project management systems.
