Maintenance Planner
The Maintenance Planner works closely with plant engineers, maintenance, operations and contractors. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager located in McArthur, Ohio.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate PM activities.
- Provide maintenance support for production and engineering activities.
- Assure compliance and proper safety, quality, and environmental requirements in work.
- Manage all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs.
- Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.
Education and Experience
- College or technical degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years previous maintenance experience required.
- 3+ years MRO (maintenance, repair, and operating materials) inventory management experience.
- Background in maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Experience working and managing in a PSM site.
- Experience in explosive manufacture preferred
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Six Sigma training a plus.
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience in stores MRO management and inventory control.
- Strong project management skills.
Work Environment
This position requires minimal travel. 80% of time will be spent in all areas of the plant, both indoors and outdoors, in all-weather elements.
