Located in Birmingham, AL, this travel opportunity seeks experienced School Psychologists and Psychometrists to support student success within a dynamic school environment. These professionals play a vital role in assessing learning, emotional, and behavioral needs, helping to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and screenings for disabilities as referred by teachers or administrators.
- Compile comprehensive reports based on student history, testing outcomes, and observations within the school setting.
- Support multidisciplinary teams in developing and monitoring IEPs aligned with each students unique needs.
- Administer and score a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests, ensuring adherence to validated procedures and timelines.
- Identify and report any issues related to test validity or evaluation timelines.
- Assist with data collection and preliminary analysis for psychometric research projects.
- Collaborate with school personnel to facilitate assessments required for eligibility determinations and IEP development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant credentials and experience as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing, evaluation procedures, and educational assessments.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Comfort with traveling to Birmingham schools and working flexible 30-hour work weeks.
