- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure).
- Help patients with mobility, including transfers from bed to wheelchair, repositioning, and walking assistance.
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments by changing linens, sanitizing areas, and restocking supplies.
- Observe and report changes in a patient’s physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Provide basic patient care, including skin care, catheter care, and assisting with range-of-motion exercises.
- Support nutrition and hydration by serving meals, monitoring intake, and assisting patients during feeding.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Document all care provided accurately and promptly in patient charts or electronic health records.
