Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist III to support biologics developability and characterization activities within a drug product development environment. This role focuses on advanced analytical characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules using mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong scientific expertise, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules and post-translational modifications using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS)

• Conduct liquid chromatography-based analyses including size-exclusion chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, and reverse-phase chromatography

• Execute laboratory experiments independently, collect and analyze data, and interpret results accurately

• Maintain detailed documentation of experimental procedures, results, and protocols using electronic laboratory notebooks

• Prepare and deliver scientific presentations summarizing experimental findings and recommendations

• Support laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine laboratory activities

• Collaborate effectively with scientists and cross-functional teams to support project objectives

• Adhere to organizational standards related to safety, compliance, documentation, and professional conduct


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline with at least five years of relevant experience

• Master’s degree in a related scientific discipline with at least two years of relevant experience

• Doctorate degree in a related scientific discipline

• Hands-on experience with protein mass spectrometry including subunit analysis, peptide mapping, disulfide mapping, and associated data processing

• Experience with liquid chromatography techniques commonly used for characterization of biologic proteins

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimental design skills

• Experience using Microsoft Excel for scientific data analysis

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and timelines


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with liquid handling robotics and automated laboratory workflows

• Experience with GraphPad or similar scientific data analysis tools

• Prior experience in biopharmaceutical product development environments

• Demonstrated scientific creativity, innovation, and technical problem-solving capabilities

Pay Range: $60/hr to $62/hr
