Manufacturing Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design transfer to full production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Specify, procure, qualify, and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling design and layout.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience with automation, robotics, and manufacturing equipment integration.
Bonus Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
- Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process analysis.
- Experience with ERP/MES system integration and data utilization.
- Hands-on experience with robotics programming or advanced automation cell development.
- Tooling, fixture, or jig design experience.
