We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our snow and ice removal team. This position is ideal for those looking for seasonal, on-call work for extra income, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time landscaping position in the spring. Job Description:
As a Snow & Ice Removal Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping client properties safe and accessible during winter weather events.
This is an on-call position, with work occurring during snowstorms or when temperatures are at or below freezing.
Responsibilities include:
- Remove snow and ice from commercial and residential properties using:
- Plow trucks
- Liquid ice melt equipment
- ATVs with plows
- Shovels and granular spreaders
- Safely operate equipment (training provided for those without experience)
- Work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods during storms
- Perform overnight and early-morning shifts to ensure properties are cleared before business hours, with some daytime work as needed
- Follow site-specific instructions and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Maintain awareness of safety for yourself, coworkers, and the public
Qualifications:
- Snow plowing, liquid ice melt application, ATV plowing, or shoveling experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Type & Compensation:
- Seasonal, on-call position with potential for full-time employment in the spring
- Pay: $20 – $23+ per hour (DOE)
