Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Summary:
A prestigious global law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded individual to join their Human Resources team in New York. Responsibilities for HRIS Assistant:

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain employee data in various HR systems, ensuring integrity and consistency
  • Generate, review, and distribute standard and ad hoc HRIS reports as needed
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee HRIS-related inquiries and escalate appropriately
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments to verify and ensure accuracy of employee data
  • Support routine system maintenance, including assisting with testing during upgrades and implementations
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and resolving discrepancies in employee data
  • Assist in documenting system processes, creating user guides, and maintaining procedure manuals
  • Perform data audits and respond to internal requests for information or reports
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for data accuracy, user experience, and reporting

Qualifications for HRIS Assistant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or HRIS experience; experience in a professional services or hospitality environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft or other HRIS platforms preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (formulas, data entry, sorting/filtering)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with employees at all levels
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through; proactive problem-solver
  • Willingness to learn; additional training will be provided
