**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days) **
Position: Employment & Training Specialist 1- Full Time
Location: Peabody, MA
Rate of Pay: $23.84 per hour; plus a $40 additional bi-weekly stipend for fluency in Spanish
Schedule : 40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, or 9:00am-5:00pm
Summary:
- Works with referrals from the Department of Developmental Services supporting people with vocational supports in securing employment, maintaining employment and striving towards independence with community-based employment.
- Case manage and develop employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities.
- Work closely with State funding sources in a collaborative team approach.
- Assist clients with a variety of job seeking skills; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette.
- Get creative with providing; vocational guidance, job development, job placement, job coaching and customer relations with employer.

Qualifications:
- High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate’s degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
- One year of human service experience desired.
- Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
- Fluency in Spanish strongly encouraged
Requirements:
- Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
- Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
- Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations
