As part of our continued growth and expanding project portfolio, we are seeking a skilled and motivated VRF Piping Mechanic to join our team.
Position Summary
The VRF Piping Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems and associated piping in commercial and select residential environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret construction documents, and collaboration with project managers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of HVAC piping installation experience

At least 1 year of hands-on experience installing VRF systems

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

Strong brazing and copper fabrication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities

Install VRF refrigerant piping systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements

Install condensate piping, insulation, hangers, and support systems

Fabricate, measure, cut, and assemble copper piping with precision
-
Perform brazing, soldering, pressure testing, and leak detection
-
Coordinate system connections with indoor and outdoor VRF units
-
Conduct system integrity testing to meet safety and quality standards
-
Troubleshoot and repair VRF piping systems, fittings, and insulation
-
Assist in system commissioning and startup
-
Collaborate with electricians, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project timelines
-
Attend project meetings and provide updates to supervisors and project managers
-
Complete daily work reports and maintain accurate documentation of materials and progress
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
-
Adhere to OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety policies
-
Stay current with evolving VRF technologies and installation best practices
-
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
