Job DescriptionJob Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: Day Shift – 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (with possible evening and weekend on-call)
Duration: 13 Weeks (extension possible)
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine diagnostic imaging procedures under general supervision. This role may also involve training and supporting other staff while ensuring high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and care
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical systems
- Follow radiation safety and regulatory compliance guidelines
- Assist in quality control and calibration of imaging equipment
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnostics
Equipment & Systems Used:
- Siemens nuclear medicine imaging systems
- Multi-head gamma cameras
- Hot lab information management systems
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
Required Qualifications:
- Valid New York State License/Registration
- ARRT or CNMT Certification in Nuclear Medicine (or board eligible)
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and safety protocols
Compensation:
- Local Pay Rate: $2,100 – $2,400 per week (based on experience)
- Travel Pay Rate: $2,800 – $3,150 per week (based on experience)
