Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support educational settings in Derry, NH. This role involves providing clear and effective communication assistance to students, faculty, and staff within schools, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for individuals who use sign language.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between hearing-impaired students and teachers or peers during classroom instruction and school events.
• Translate spoken language to sign language and vice versa with accuracy and appropriate cultural context.
• Assist in meetings, extracurricular activities, and school-wide functions to promote full participation.
• Travel between multiple school locations as needed to provide services.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to accommodate individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards related to interpretation services.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and excellent interpreting skills.
• Previous experience working in educational environments preferred.

• Flexibility and willingness to travel daily to various school sites.
