Position Summary:
Assists one or more teachers in providing basic sign language interpretation/translation of curriculum and supervision of assigned children in a classroom setting.

Salary: $23.97 - $31.71 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience.
Location: Las Palmas
Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or GED, experience working with students in a classroom or equivalent environment, and successful completion of a rigorous competency exam validating district and state required competency. The position also requires successful completion of a sign language interpreter training program and experience interpreting in one or more sign systems/languages.
Licenses and Certifications:
May require a valid driver’s license. An approved competency exam and a sign language interpreter training program.
