We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process, responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects align with project goals. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to effectively negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions, ensuring accurate cost assessments.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates for materials and labor.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to cost control measures.
- Provide support during the bidding process by presenting estimates and clarifying any questions from stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
- Proficiency in AutoCad and Solidworks is necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable pricing outcomes.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions based on cost control metrics.
- Familiarity with project management processes within the construction industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
