Experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator
Climate Guys is a family-owned business providing services to the Eastern Michigan area since 2010. We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Coordinator/Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. This position requires someone who is a self-driver with strong administrative skills who can spot problems and find solutions, someone who holds themselves accountable for a high-quality work product. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with some overtime
Compensation: $21.00-$27.00 per hour

Primary Job Function:
Responsible for ensuring all jobs scheduled for the next day have all material and equipment pulled. Track material returns by job and return to stock. Responsible for all materials, supplies, etc. that leave the shop have been properly filled out on a material sheet. List all overstocked items and give to Installation Coordinator for return to vendor. Check and put away stock orders. Maintain shop and yard in a clean and orderly fashion. Assist Installers in loading and unloading vans. Fabricate and assemble custom sheet metal products and equipment, such as ductwork, plenums, fire dampers, and diffusers. This position may also assist in new construction installations.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Insurable by company insurance carrier
- Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings
- Safe use of ladders
- Unloading/loading of trucks and in warehouse
- Be able to carry 100 pounds unassisted.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Prior experience in custom sheet metal fabrication
- Previous experience using plasma cutters is preferred but not required, punch presses, lasers, and/or press brakes
- Knowledge and use of Plasma Table is a bonus!
- Ability to work from drawings, submittals, and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Able to apply shop mathematics and layout techniques
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
