Summary
This position will primarily be based in Guam, supporting the Guam Construction Group. This position provides installation, alteration, additions, and/or repairs of plumbing systems, piping, and associated materials and equipment within the plumbing construction industries. This is a field position and may require travel to various areas in Guam; hours worked while in travel status could be up to 12 hours per day.
There are full-time and part-time positions available! These positions are located in Guam.
The pay range for this position is $19.48-$30.00/hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Completes light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
- Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Plumbing License
- One (1) or more years of experience
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion
- Knowledge of pertinent local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check for Federal Agency to obtain security access badging
- United States Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Plumber License
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- OSHA 10 Training Certificate
- Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures

Physical Demands (including, but not limited to):
- Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components.
- Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing (frequently communicates with field personnel via various modes, i.e., radio; must be able to relay accurate information), and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling and standing for up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, such as small plumbing fixtures, equipment, and other materials.

Work is typically performed in an indoor environment, with some activities being completed outside. There is exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or as business needs dictate
