Role Summary

This Physical Therapist – Hand Therapy role is based in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic. The position focuses primarily on hand therapy patients, with some exposure to general orthopedic cases. The role is well-suited for a clinician with experience or strong interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and splint fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide skilled physical therapy services to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and functional limitations.
Primarily evaluate and treat hand therapy patients; may also support general orthopedic caseloads as needed.
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Fabricate and fit custom splints as appropriate to patient needs.
Deliver therapy interventions designed to maximize patient independence and functional outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and other rehabilitation professionals.
Adjust treatment approaches based on patient progress, age-related considerations, and clinical response.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate (DPT) degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice at time of hire.
Ability to obtain licensure in any additional states where care may be delivered, if applicable.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required upon hire).
Willingness to complete specialized training if required to meet department needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in hand therapy.
Experience fabricating custom splints.
Background in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
