Job DescriptionWe are looking for an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations for a non-profit organization in Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation processes organized and on schedule. The role will contribute to a smooth employee experience by coordinating administrative HR activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting benefits and compliance-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate employment posting updates and assist with recruitment-related administrative activities to support staffing needs.
• Enter and maintain new employee information in HR systems, ensuring records are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Review volunteer background screening results and escalate items that require additional follow-up or attention.
• Monitor benefits information for accuracy and help keep employee benefit records current.
• Track required HR paperwork, send reminders on pending items, and maintain organized documentation for compliance purposes.
• Support onboarding activities by assisting with new employee orientations, direct deposit setup, and related employment forms.
• Use tools such as Skyward, Ease, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace to manage HR processes and reporting.
• Provide administrative support for payroll-related system activities as needed during ongoing HR operations.• Experience supporting onboarding and general HR administration in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of candidate screening coordination, employee documentation, and HR compliance practices.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate personnel records.
• Experience assisting with benefits administration and related employee record updates.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office for communication, tracking, and document management.
• Working knowledge of Smartsheet or similar tools used for monitoring tasks and workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, reminders, and multiple priorities effectively.
