Position Summary
This Swiss Machinist role will support our team’s continued machining excellence, towards quality
and on-time deliverables. Competencies in other machining equipment are preferred. The ideal
candidate will be able to perform duties with independence, within a highly collaborative team-based
environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Swiss machine setup/troubleshooting, ensuring best-in-class utilization of equipment,
maintenance, and human resources.
• Dedication to continuous improvement within and outside of the machine.
• Provide machined components to be delivered to the customer without defects and on-time.
• CAD/CAM skillset preferred.
• Create fixtures and procure tooling for various jobs. Maintain tooling and fixture needs.
• Create set-up instructions, monitor and improve setup time, write/edit new programs, improve
existing programs to reduce cycle time, strive for minimal burr and low scrap.
• Ensure measurements of a variety of key performance indicators related to production are met.
• Ensure the highest availability of the equipment through proactive, preventive maintenance.
• Participate in advanced quality planning, job progress, and quality review meetings.
• Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
• Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to employees, visitors, clients,
and vendors.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Observe all safety rules & regulations.
• Compliance with quality system requirements.
Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Required:
Minimum 3 year (5 year preferred) of Swiss machine setup/programming/operations/maintenance.
Minimum 1 year (5 years preferred) of experience in CNC machining on Lathe and/or Mill.
Quality inspections with hand tools and other gaging equipment.
Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
SolidCAM, Mastercam, Fusion 360 CAD/CAM soware experience.
Strong maintenance background.
Strong organization, leadership, verbal, and written communicaon skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to gather and analyze data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written formats.
