Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Production Supervisor – Wood Manufacturing
People Plus is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in a wood manufacturing facility. This position oversees all aspects of production, ensuring quality craftsmanship, efficient workflow, and a safe work environment.
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Pay: 41,600+ Depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across all departments
- Lead, train, and support production staff
- Monitor production schedules, output, and quality standards to meet company goals
- Oversee material usage, inventory control, and minimize waste
- Inspect work in progress and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements
- Track production metrics and report progress toward goals
Requirements:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing people, materials, and time effectively
- Previous experience in woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or manufacturing management preferred
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, tape measures, and work orders
- Comfortable operating power tools, woodworking machinery, and production systems
- Basic computer skills required (Excel, production tracking software, etc.)
- Physically able to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work in a shop environment
