Description

  • Provide specialized care to patients with various wound conditions, utilizing your skills and knowledge to improve their quality of life.

  • Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop complex wound care treatment plans.

  • Educate patients and their families about wound care procedures and recovery expectations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

  • Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.

  • Provide post-treatment follow-up care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

  • Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.

  • Conduct or contribute to wound care and related research to improve patient outcomes.

  • Offer training and support to nursing staff and other healthcare providers on wound care and vascular procedures.

  • Stay updated with continuous education in wound care advancements.

  • Evaluate and manage potential complications arising from wound conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)

  • Experience in wound care is required

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Virginia state license

  • Advanced certification in wound care (e.g., CWCN, CWS, or equivalent).

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.

  • Experience working in a wound care clinic.

  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.

  • Excellent patient communication and education capabilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Clinical research experience in wound care .

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification (e.g., FNP, ANP, or AGNP).

  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.

  • Experience in wound care and management.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

  • Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy principles and practices.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and medical equipment.

  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
