Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Class-3 soldering technician to join our team in Bristol, PA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in soldering and assembly, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various electronic components. This position requires J-STD-001 certification and the ability to perform intricate soldering tasks to ensure high-quality and reliable connections.
Responsibilities
- Perform intricate soldering tasks on various electronic components and assemblies.
- Utilize advanced soldering techniques to ensure high-quality and reliable connections.
- Inspect solder joints and connections to ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
- Identify defects or irregularities and rectify them to meet established quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve soldering processes and techniques for enhanced efficiency and reliability.
- Implement best practices and suggest process modifications to optimize soldering operations.
- Train and mentor junior soldering technicians, providing guidance on proper soldering techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate soldering equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning and accuracy.
- Report any equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of soldering activities, including materials used, soldering processes, and inspection results.
- Generate regular reports on productivity, quality, and any issues encountered during soldering operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to soldering processes and materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, quality control, and production, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and task coordination.
Essential Skills
- J-STD-001 certification is required.
- Minimum of three years of soldering and assembly experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform go/no-go testing of basic electronic equipment using written and verbal test procedures and basic test equipment.
- Ability to lift at least 36 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good computer skills and ability to work with various software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with fine pitch, through-hole, and surface mount soldering.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience working with micro assemblies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64000.00/yr.
