Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Virginia
- Proven experience in Cath Lab nursing, including assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures
- Ability to monitor and care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and related nursing practices
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and related procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Assist physicians during procedures by managing equipment and supplies as needed
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education and support
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, assessments, and interventions
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the Cath Lab setting
