Job Description

We are seeking a skilled warehouse worker who will play an essential role in our operations by utilizing a forklift 40% of the day to move large products safely. This role involves manually lifting and wrapping products, using hands and power tools to open product containers, and loading/unloading products from pallets. Daily tasks also include counting, weighing, and recording the number of incoming products on production sheets, and banding materials into bundles.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a forklift to move large products safely throughout the day.
• Manually lift, wrap, and secure products as needed.
• Open product containers using hands and power tools.
• Load and unload products from pallets efficiently.
• Count, weigh, and record incoming products on production sheets daily.
• Band materials into bundles and clamp portable conveyor systems together.
• Comfortably work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Receive inbound products and use an RF Scanner to input them into inventory.
• Prepare orders for shipment as required.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Experience with keeping inventory.
• RF Scanner experience.
• Proficiency in picking and packing.
• Forklift operation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to counterbalance on a forklift to ensure safe product movement.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse that requires comfortability working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees must dress appropriately for the weather, including wearing steel-toed boots and a hard hat, which will be provided. The facility is older, and conditions can be hot when it's hot outside and cold when it's cold. It is recommended to bring a reusable water bottle in hot weather and dress in layers for colder months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
