Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Aurora, Colorado, supporting a preschool Autism classroom. This contract role runs from January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. On-site presence is required as virtual or hybrid arrangements are not offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool students with autism in a classroom setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and caregivers to promote student development and progress.
- Monitor student progress continuously and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Colorado Teaching License with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement is mandatory.
- Candidates must already possess ECSE licensure to be considered for an interview; pending licensure will not qualify.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with autism is highly preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to early learners with special needs.

- On-site at a preschool Autism classroom in the Denver area, specifically at Meadowood Child Development Center.
