Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a patient-centered acute care hospital located in Oviedo, Florida. The RRT will provide high-quality respiratory care services across inpatient units, including critical care, emergency services, and women’s services. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, evidence-based respiratory therapy and support optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure

Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient condition and response to therapy

Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy

Assist with placement, monitoring, and maintenance of artificial airways

Initiate, manage, and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation

Monitor patients for therapeutic response and intervene appropriately for adverse reactions

Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients

Respond to emergent situations, ensuring airway management and ventilation during resuscitation

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient medical record
Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience required
-
Critical care or labor & delivery experience preferred
-
CRT candidates do not qualify
-
Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Active Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
-
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
-
BLS required within 30 days of hire
-
NRP required within 6 months of hire
-
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
-
PALS required within 6 months of hire
Work Environment

Acute care hospital serving East Seminole County and surrounding communities

24/7 Emergency Department

Intensive Care Unit and inpatient medical/surgical units

Women’s services including labor and delivery

Comprehensive diagnostic imaging and cardiopulmonary services
