Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students across two school sites in Hartford, CT. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through June 9, 2026. Ideal candidates will have experience in school-based speech therapy within an inclusive setting, serving students with a variety of disability categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services to elementary students in general education and inclusion classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student communication goals
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress documentation
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs across multiple sites
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required; candidates holding a Clinical Fellowship (CF) are also encouraged to apply
- Active Connecticut license to practice as an SLP
- Proven school-based experience in a public or private elementary school setting
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered for this role
Details:
- Full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM
- Split schedule between two elementary schools (sites to be determined)
- Onsite work with no specialized classrooms; focus on diverse inclusion settings
- Two openings available
