Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer with a strong background in industrial control systems to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a leading North American energy infrastructure company that focuses on delivering clean and affordable natural gas to millions of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain wiring diagrams and control panel designs from P&IDs.
  • Program and manage at least two SCADA software platforms and two PLC platforms.
  • Support startup and commissioning of control systems for complex industrial or pipeline processes.
  • Develop control sequences and PLC programming based on P&IDs.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Microsoft Office to share, retrieve, research, and present business information.
  • Work effectively under pressure while handling potentially volatile commodities.
  • Establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers.
  • Exhibit good judgment and present diverse ideas logically and concisely.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of proven experience with industrial control systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process control theory and electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems.
  • Working knowledge of control systems in natural gas and propane processing, storage, and handling facilities, and gas flow measurement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols.
  • Experience in programming SCADA and PLC platforms.
  • Ability to develop control sequences and wiring diagrams from P&IDs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Background in Electrical Engineering and PLC programming.
  • Deep knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Project management skills are advantageous.

Work Environment

The position is onsite five days a week, with travel to sites as needed. A 50/50 split between onsite work and travel is expected, with mileage reimbursement provided. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington D.C., DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
