Supervisor: Warehouse Floor Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Status: Full-time (40 hours) Non-Exempt

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school or equivalency diploma. Must possess basic computer skills. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting is preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.

Physical Requirements: This position operates in a typical warehouse setting and is exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally offer the employee routine opportunities to adjust their physical position or change their eye focus. This position will require the safe use of power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.


Position Summary: The Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Lead is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and flow of all inbound and outbound products across the warehouse. This position plays a key role in upholding food safety standards, supporting agency partnerships, and maintaining product integrity from receiving to distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ServSafe certified, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Ensure product temperature and condition are verified and documented upon truck arrival.
  2. Monitor and inspect inbound product for quality, accuracy, and expiration dates.
  3. Oversee and optimize product flow at the receiving dock to support efficient warehouse operations.
  4. Communicate product quality concerns/issues to the Food Agency Partnership team, especially issues reported by donors.
  5. Collaborate with Agency Services & Programs to quickly move close-dated and perishable products through proper channels.
  6. Facilitate the timely transfer of product from receiving to the distribution dock for agency pickup.
  7. Conduct quality checks on perishable items going to "Shop the Dock" to ensure product viability.
  8. Act as the point of contact for driver offloading - ensuring weight accuracy, safe handling, and proper pallet configuration.
  9. Support warehouse operations by assisting with offloading of direct delivery and food industry pickups.
  10. Maintain compliance with food safety standards; must be ServSafe certified or willing to obtain certification.
  1. Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
  2. Follows all safety standards and procedures.
  3. Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
  4. Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification (required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, food distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in cold storage environments.
