Job DescriptionSalary: $25.00-$27.00/hour DOE
The Peters Township Public Library is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Program & Outreach Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping creative, educational, and engaging library programs for adults of all ages.
This position will:
- Lead the development and implementation of library programs for adult audiences, both virtual and in-person
- Develop partnerships and outreach opportunities with external organizations and groups
- Represent the library at community events
- Collaborate closely with the Adult Services team to develop initiatives that support the librarys mission and strategic plan
- Work collaboratively with other library and Township departments
- Serve as committee chair for Read Local Eat Local, the librarys annual local author event
- Create and monitor the adult summer reading challenge through the Beanstack platform
- Keep accurate program statistics for reporting use
- Gather community feedback and analyze data to improve services and set goals
- Supervise Adult Services volunteers
- Provide reference desk coverage as needed
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
- Candidates with Masters Degree in Library Science strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for working with the public
- Past experience of creating, planning, and implementing public programs is required
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team, willingness to assist and support coworkers, contribute ideas, and maintain flexibility
- Thorough knowledge of current and emerging library trends is preferred
- PA State Police criminal history check, PA Child Abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints
Compensation and Scheduling:
- Full time: 37.5 hours per week
- Starting pay range: $25 to $27 per hour

- Flexible scheduling - mostly daytime hours, evenings and weekends as needed for programs
