Medical Receptionist - Product Support Specialist

Position Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in a unique hybrid role that combines hands-on administrative support with product development feedback. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with healthcare customers while helping shape the future of our platform.

In this role, you'll spend time onsite at various medical office locations across NYC, performing essential referral processing tasks while gaining firsthand insight into how our customers use our platform. Your observations and feedback will be invaluable to our development team as we work to make our product increasingly self-serve and user-friendly for front office teams.

What You'll Do

  • Perform administrative tasks related to medical referrals processing at customer locations throughout NYC

  • Train medical receptionists and physicians on how to use our platform effectively

  • Work onsite with healthcare customers' front office teams to support their daily operations

  • Serve as a bridge between our customers and product team, translating product feedback and front office workflows into actionable product improvements

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $18-22/hour (based on experience). Start as contractor @ 20 hours per week at first

  • Growth Opportunity: Potential to transition into a full-time salaried Customer Success Representative based on a performance

  • Transportation: Company-provided subway pass

  • Location: Hybrid: Partly work from home. Partly onsite at various customer locations across NYC

  • You will report directly to our Chief Medical Officer

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Intellectually curious with a genuine willingness to learn new things

  • Comfortable working independently at customer sites

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Reliable and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a medical receptionist

  • Experience in a customer-facing role at a SaaS or technology company

  • College degree

  • Familiarity with medical referral processes and healthcare workflows

  • Ability to think critically about user experience and process improvement

Ideal Candidate

An ideal candidate is someone who has some work experience in a medical practice and knows the basics of patient workflows. (e.g., scheduling, creating referrals, updating an EHR) as well as naturally tech savvy and very adept at picking up new SaaS technologies. You could be early in your career looking for an opportunity to break into tech. You could be at a life stage where part time hours and flexibility are important (e.g., you want to work a bit while kids are at school) and you'd love to leverage experience working in a health tech practice or in a customer facing role in tech.
