An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled RN to provide expert nursing care in a Neuro Cardiac Unit setting. This travel assignment focuses on night shifts within a progressive clinical environment featuring a wide range of complex Med/Surg and Tele patients. This 13-week role offers guaranteed hours and the chance to work across nearby campuses within your specialty skillset.

Role Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to complex Med/Surg/Tele patients including post cardiac catheterizations, CVA/TIA cases, ICD management, complex abdominal surgeries, oncology, and cranial post-op care
- Perform detailed neurological assessments including NIHSS and dysphagia screening
- Initiate and titrate drips such as insulin, cardiac, and heparin infusions
- Interpret Telemetry and 12-lead EKGs; successful completion of Telemetry competency testing required
- Float within specialty skillset to nearby campuses with advance notice
- Participate in ongoing education including potential precepting of students and new hires
Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Current active compact RN license
- Minimum two years strong Tele/Med-Surg nursing experience with Level II trauma exposure
- At least one prior travel nursing assignment
- Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
- Competency in neuro assessments, telemetry interpretation, and critical care drip management
- Preferred skills: NG/PEG tube management, PIV insertion, Tikosyn administration, chest tube care
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
Schedule & Hours
- 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed 36 hours weekly; 48 hours available upon request
- Three weekends required in every six-week rotation
- No on-call or call-back required
